Riding to fight homelessness

Trish Karter is the CEO of the Dancing Deer Baking Company. At San Francisco’s Fancy Food show in late January 2009, she publicizes the plight of the 700,000 mothers who, along with their children, live in homeless shelters across the US - and what people can do to help.

The goal: to get a gift to every mother living in shelter with her children this Mother’s day, and to and raise $4.5 million to fund solutions.

Dancing Deer’s Sweet Home line of products already donates 35% of their revenues to fight homelessness; now they are teaming up with other commercial partners, and are seeking help from private donors to support this cause.

The bike ride from Atlanta to Boston starts on April 19.
The buildup starts soon. See the Dancing Deer ride page
